Rituals for the Soul

“Rituals connect us our loved ones, nature, and most importantly, ourselves.”

“As we move through life’s adventures, we evolve and change. We may change our beliefs, our perspectives, and our behaviors. In my experience, having rituals has been essential to feeling grounded through the changes, but they do even more. Routinely returning to the same joyful activities, while constantly evolving and changing, allows me to reflect, feel gratitude, and develop resilience.

Here are some of my current joyful rituals…

Daily Visits with Nature

I love taking morning walks with coffee around our yard to watch the baby trees & plants grow

Shabbat with a Twist

Eddie and I like to break out our Classic Challah Board to celebrate the week. Sometimes, we like to mix up this tradition and order fries from a neighborhood joint instead of challah.

Weekly Swims in Breathtaking Mountain Water

During the summers, Eddie and I find swimming holes all around the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Daily Handstands

Handstands are a new daily ritual of mine - they help keep my ears healthy for the summer swimming and encourage me to take a 2-minute break during the day. Actually, I am going to stop writing this blog and go do one right now…
