Sustainability

Ethically Sourced Wood

Our wood is only sourced second-hand or from trees that have already been cut down on private land.

Giving

For every item sold, we donate $1 to Dogwood Alliance, an organization dedicated to protecting southeastern forests and supporting voices of marginalized communities. They work across 14 states. You can learn more about their work and donate to the cause at dogwoodalliance.org.

Local Partnerships

Steve, from Shore Hardwoods in Hendersonville, NC supplies us with the wood and makes the base of our challah boards and mezuzahs. Dot Editions in Asheville, NC professionally print our pieces, resulting in gorgeous, archival prints that allow you to see every detail of the original artwork. These pigment prints are commonly called giclées. Cheadle's Designs in Arden, NC engraves the motzi prayer on the front of our challah boards.

Mindful Packaging & Shipping

We use recycled boxes provided by Eco Enclose. The boxes are made from 100% recycled material (95% post consumer). Noissue provides some of our sustainable packaging materials, such as eco-friendly stamps and paper (with soy-based ink) and compostable tissue paper and stickers. White Dragon Paper provides us with beautiful hand-made receycled paper for our gift & personal notes. For most pieces, we use Sendle, a carbon neutral shipping service.
