Sycamores are one of my favorite trees, I love that they grow near water and how the bark changes color, transitioning in a beautiful way the higher on the tree it is. This tree sits at a small fork on the Green River and I created this rough sketch of it. My hope is this study will help me produce a larger version of this same tree with much more detail.
